transantiago; before and after

Hi!!
Today I’m telling a little about my experience and opinión about Transantiago system. What is that?? Transantiago is a transport system that started on february 10th of 2007 in the capital of Chile, and that pretends to improve the covering of the public transport of Santiago, to reduce the number of change bus, reducing the wait time and improving the route offer. Sounds great doesn’t it?? Well, in some way it is, but in a beggining was more difficult, and definitively more confused, because the information was so much confuse to the people. But not all was bad, and now it isn’t, not all almost. For example, in relation with the pre-transantiago system or “yellow buses”, the current system has many adventages, its buses produce less polution that the others, the bus drivers are more friendly in some way with the passengers, and with the students specifically …before transantiago system, was so difficult to me that the buses will stop me…now, as they –bus drivers- have a stable pay, they stop to all people. Other adventage is that now, to can travel for all Santiago, you didn’t need pay all the tickets, as some years ago it was, because with one ticket you can do until three change, including the subway –current system is in synchronized with the subway-. Although transantiago system has many good things, there are goals that don’t are functioning in the correct way, for example if well with one ticket you can travel for all the city, the times of travel had been increasing. Now, about my experience with this system, I can say that it had been the same when the transantiago started than now, because I live so much near of my university so I always walk, and when I go to my work for example, the buses are in a high frequency, and I never have problem with them. I think that to the transantiago improve, first the buses frequency have to increase, and in a second place the number of routes have to increase too.
