What to do and where to go in Santiago.

Hi!!
Today I’m going tell you about what kind of places the foreigner tourists can visit in Santiago, and what activities they can do. In general, there are in Santiago many places than the foreigner people can do, but the choise depends of the tourist’s interests, for example I always see tourists visiting La Moneda –government palace-; the Cerro San Cristóbal; the Mercado Central; Feria Artesanal Santa Lucía; La Biblioteca Nacional; El Parque Metropolitano; the civic center of Santiago –Plaza de Armas, Catedral, Oficina central de correo, and Municipalidad-, until the Parque Arauco!!etc. As you can see the places and activities than the people can do are a lot!!

Of alI of them, I think that one of the most popular places visited for tourists is La Moneda, and its square “Plaza de la Constitución”, there you can start seeing the diferents expositions and in the morning you can witnessing the change of guard of the palace. In the government palace, if you go with a touristic guide you can learn a bit of the building history, visit too the Patio de Los Naranjos, and if you are “lucky” you can see a politic or the president. Ja!
Other place is the Parque Metropolitano and the Cerro San Cristóbal, where is possible visit for one part the zoo and for other side too, you can up the hill and arrive until the Virgin; many tourist do sport activities in this place, and when you`re up you can have a great view of all the city, it’s beautiful when the air is clean. In third place, we have the Feria Artesanal Santa Lucía, one of the most large than I know, and where the people can buy the tipical craft to do gifts when they will return of its travel, this place is so near to government palace and relatively near of San Cristóbal Hill.

Finally as a entertainment data I suggest two places, dependind of the preferences about the experience that the tourist would like have. The first of these last places is La Piojera Bar, this is a place where the tourists can live the “guachaca cultura”, is located in Mapocho station and its star is the “terremoto drink”, that for this dates is so fashionable for the national holliday, its a place so chilean for say it of one way. And the last is Plaza Ñuñoa, in this place there are a lot of restaurants of all levels and types, you can find mexican food, chilean food, organic food, pubs, etc.. is just next to the city hall of Ñuñoa, so always there are expositions, or presentations of music, dance and theather groups.

Well, I hope that this dates will be interesting for the tourist friend that will want come to Santiago!!
See you!!
Bye
